**Role Overview**

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a school in Richmond.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and assistance to students with SEND, particularly SEMH.
  • Assist in the implementation of EHCPs.
  • Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere for students' academic and personal development.
  • Provide opportunities for lifelong learning, growing independence, and being valued members of society.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, and associated difficulties is desirable.
  • Delivering engaging activities to pupils in small groups.
  • A compassionate and patient approach towards supporting students' individual needs.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in supporting individuals with SEND is desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes.
  • Available to work 5 days a week (8:30-15:30) term time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
