Job Summary

A Commercial Proposal Specialist at aaa | consulting is responsible for preparing and managing customized, budgeted quotes for engineered services, sales, and rental projects. This role ensures that all activities strictly adhere to approved commercial processes at all times.

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and receive allocated leads from business development personnel for quote preparation and management
  • Draft technical proposals for bespoke sale and rental and service scopes using base product templates and engineering inputs
  • Populate commercial notes relative to pricing for specified scopes
  • Prepare detailed cost budgets based on new or existing costs stating source, validity, and assumption basis
  • Work with technical teams to define required components to be budgeted
  • Maximize margin to commercial standard
  • Generate sell pricing for each scope using existing customer rates and required business margins
  • Prepare cashflow models per project based on outgoings projected from budgets
  • Propose a milestone payment schedule and cancellation profile model based on outgoings and predicted scope timetable
  • Coordinate and record risk review for all required proposals and track all actions to close out
  • Pass all terms and conditions for review and negotiation to the contract team
  • Ensure approval for non-standard commercial conditions requested or proposed
  • Track outstanding quotes, opportunities to be quoted, and quotes to be followed up
  • Ensure revenue tracking reports are up to date at all times

Requirements

  • Regular bespoke budget preparation experience is preferred
  • Fast-paced energy service industry experience of proposals and document writing

Qualifications

  • A relevant business, finance, or engineering degree is preferred

Personal Qualities

  • Highly numerate and with excellent commercial acumen
  • Excellent grammar and written and oral communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated and good at working on own initiative or as part of a team
