Job Title: Senior Facilities Manager

STERIS is a leading global provider of products and services that support patient care with an emphasis on infection prevention. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Facilities Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Senior Facilities Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility operations and management in compliance with the objectives and directives of Global Facilities and Real Estate. This includes providing support to all sites, ensuring facilities are properly managed or maintained, and monitoring and reporting on facilities matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide project management support to all sites as directed by the Director, International Facilities and Real Estate.
  • Assist the Director of International Facilities in developing and implementing strategic plans in line with the objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate for EMEA facilities.
  • Advises on operations of the EMEA facilities to align with objectives of the organization and Global Facilities and Real Estate.
  • Manage a team of EMEA facilities staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist with data collection and management of facilities assets for use in preventative maintenance and capital planning.
  • Assist with implementation of STERIS and Global Facilities and Real Estate sustainability initiatives and projects.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services.
  • Act as a liaison between facility director and facility staff, providing regular updates on facility operations and performance.
  • Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Monitor facility and project-based budgets and expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience within projects related to facilities and Architectural or Engineering type position.
  • 5+ years' Knowledge of building operations, mechanical and electrical systems and best practices.
  • 5+ years' Knowledge of building maintenance, repair, construction, materials, and equipment.
  • 3+ years' experience with sustainability with respect to building and or the built environment.
  • 5+ years' experience within projects related to construction.
  • 5+ years' experience with mechanical, electrical, and structural design.
  • 5+ years' experience with architectural building design.
  • 5+ years' experience with digital drawing and drafting systems, CAD, or other similar.
  • 5+ years' experience with CAFM, computer aided facilities management systems.
  • Ability to work and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to independently visit sites and act credibly and diplomatically as a Facilities and Real Estate representative for Global Facilities and Real Estate.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Ability to understand and evaluate bids/quotes for projects.
  • Must be able to review building schematic plans/drawings and determine compliance.
  • Must have computer proficiency in Microsoft suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
