Director of European IP and Regulatory Litigation

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Executive Counsel to join our European IP and Regulatory Litigation team at Teva Pharmaceuticals. As a key member of our legal team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business through pan-European regional patent litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex, high-value pan-European pharmaceutical patent and regulatory exclusivity litigation strategies to advance Teva's commercial objectives.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams within Patents, EU Legal, Portfolio, Commercial and Regulatory Affairs teams to develop and implement product launch strategies.
- Develop policy positions in collaboration with global government affairs colleagues and advocate for these positions both internally and with external industry associations.
- Coordinate and lead IP and regulatory exclusivity training programs for non-specialist internal colleagues.
- Instruct and manage external law firms and counsel, ensuring adherence to strict cost management principles and billing guidelines.
- Create new processes and implement existing litigation team policies and processes to promote efficiency, visibility, and cross-functional communication.
Requirements
- UK/EU qualified and practicing lawyer with significant experience of international IP and regulatory litigation within a pharmaceutical/life sciences company or law firm representing equivalent clients.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, with first-class organizational and negotiation skills.
- Natural collaborator with a proven track record of managing a complex and high-value/impact caseload and operating with the highest degree of integrity.
- Business understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and ability to develop cross-functional/cultural relationships.
