About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Asset and Investment Accountant to join our team at Places for People Group, a leading provider of homes and community services. As an Accountant for Assets & Investments, you will play a key role in providing financial insights and reporting on the performance of our non-social housing portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include preparing management accounts, business plans, and reports that provide transparency around current and expected performance of our non-social homes, which comprise over 4,000 properties across the UK. You will also be responsible for journal postings, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and contributing to the preparation of forecasts and business plans.

We are looking for a strong communicator and a confident team player who can engage with senior stakeholders within the business and build relationships. You will have relevant accounting qualifications or QBE (CIMA/ACA or ACCA) and experience in accounting for actual performance, developing and reviewing forecasts, and financial appraisal models.
