Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Night Shift)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide breakdown service to production areas to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.
  • Carry out planned maintenance on plant and production machinery to ensure they are available for production in a safe and efficient condition.
  • Support the Engineering Supervisor with the development and improvement of facilities and services.
  • Identify and act upon sub-standard areas.
  • Investigate and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on plant and machinery.
  • Work to a planned preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Complete elements of commissioning on plant and equipment.
  • Work with sub-contractors to improve working knowledge of plant and equipment.
  • Ensure general building and facilities maintenance is carried out.
  • Support the introduction of new machinery and products.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an engineering apprenticeship and/or HNC level or above in an engineering-related subject.
  • Experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Multi-skilled with the ability to fault-find and repair both mechanical and electrical fields.
  • Experience across a variety of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to perform proactive and reactive maintenance duties using a scheduled maintenance system.
  • IOSH working safely/ managing safely is desirable but not essential.
  • Ideal experience with PLCs, specifically Siemens S7/Mitsubishi.
  • Ability to read, understand, and generate technical, electrical, and P&I drawings.
