Role Overview

As a Visiting Officer with Capita, you will be responsible for conducting home visits to properties where no TV licence is registered, engaging with customers to understand their reasoning for not having a licence, and making informed decisions on next steps.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Conducting door-to-door home visits to properties where no TV licence is registered.
  2. Engaging with customers to understand their reasoning for not having a TV licence.
  3. Making informed decisions on next steps based on customer interactions.
  4. Accurately recording visit details and completing daily timesheets via a handheld device.
  5. Explaining and selling the benefits of various licence payment schemes.
  6. Taking and accurately recording payment details.
  7. Attending court when required to give evidence in prosecution cases.
  8. Carrying out work and attending meetings as directed by the Visiting Manager.
  9. Taking records of interviews under caution.

What You'll Need to Bring:

  1. You will need to have a valid UK driving licence.
  2. You will need to be physically mobile, as you will be visiting multiple locations on a daily basis.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an excellent standard of both verbal and written English.
  4. Similar previous experience is not essential, but excellent communication skills are.
