About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Hospice at Home team, providing emotional and practical support to patients and their families in the comfort of their own homes.

As a Senior Healthcare Assistant, you will work closely with our Clinical Nurse Specialists to deliver high-quality care, ensuring that patients receive the support they need to achieve their preferred place of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personal care to patients, tailored to their individual needs
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing team to provide emotional and practical support to patients and their families
  • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring that patients receive holistic support
  • Contribute to the maintenance of accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working in a nursing team, preferably in a hospice or palliative care setting
  • Previous experience of caring for terminally ill patients, or a willingness to learn and develop skills in this area
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle
