Senior Healthcare Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our Hospice at Home team. As a key member of our nursing team, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients and their families in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out personal care and activities of daily living for individual patients and groups of patients as required.
- Assist nursing staff with delegated tasks, including catheter and stoma care, eye and mouth care, and report findings to nursing staff.
- Develop and maintain effective communication and liaison with patients, their families, and carers.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for patients, carers, visitors, and staff.
- Good standard of general education (GCSE English and Maths Grade C or equivalent).
- Understanding of basic nursing care of patients.
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Previous experience of working within a Ward and/or Community nursing team.
- Experience of nursing terminally ill patients and caring for their families in a Palliative/Oncology Setting.
