Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Weather Data Analyst Lead to join their team. As a leader in the field of flood forecasting, you will have a strong background in meteorology, hydrology, science or mathematics and experience working with global weather data sets.

The ideal candidate will have a BSc, MSc, and/or PhD in meteorology, hydrology, science or mathematics and experience working for a UK-based Consultancy, Local Authority, or University specialising in Python, geospatial processes, GIS, and analysing large weather data sets.

This role offers a competitive salary of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, a substantial bonus, and career development opportunities. As a Flood Forecasting Systems Developer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing flood forecasting systems using global weather data sets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of analysts in evaluating and utilising global weather data sets.
  • Develop innovative approaches for utilising ensemble weather data sets.
  • Test weather APIs to assess performance.
