Job Summary

NHS Professionals is seeking a qualified Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our bank of professionals. As a Community Psychiatric Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient-centered care to individuals with mental health needs in the community. This role offers a unique blend of professional fulfillment and adaptable scheduling, allowing you to balance your work and personal life. You will have the flexibility to choose your working hours and locations, making this role ideal for those seeking a better work-life balance.

About the Role

This role involves providing robust assessments of patients with mental health difficulties, identifying appropriate care pathways, and ensuring the least restrictive option to meet the needs of the patient. You will also signpost to appropriate care providers, raise concerns to senior staff for support and management, complete documentation and planning care for patients, and present cases to the Multi-Disciplinary Team for discussion around care pathways. You will work closely with colleagues, including nursing, occupational therapy, medics, psychology, and admin.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 months paid experience as a Community Psychiatric Nurse in an UK hospital environment within the last 3 years.
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices.
  • A Full UK driving licence and own vehicle.
