Social Work Opportunity in the South East of England

This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in your community. As a Family Safeguarding Social Worker, you will play a vital role in promoting the welfare of children while respecting family rights and supporting them to identify positive changes.

Your key responsibilities will include working alongside families to understand their needs and strengths, developing SMART plans to address risks and promote positive change. You will also engage with commissioning, fostering, and adoption teams to secure stable placements for children and maintain accurate, detailed, and timely records in line with organizational standards.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum

Requirements:
  • A recognized professional social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
  • Registration with or eligibility to register with the HCPC.Substantial experience in direct work with children, young people, and families in a statutory setting.
  • Strong understanding of UK childcare law, statutory guidance, and Working Together 2018.
  • Proficient in writing clear and concise reports, assessments, and SMART plans.Skilled in motivational interviewing or a willingness to develop this approach.
  • Excellent partnership and communication skills to work effectively with families and other professionals.
  • Competent in IT and numeracy skills.
