Austin Fraser is currently seeking a SHEQ Manager to join our client, a manufacturing company in Cheshire.

The role will involve taking responsibility for onsite environment, health and safety standards and procedures ensuring a high level of compliance and adherence at all times. The role will also encompass an element of quality management, procedures, and successful audit accreditation.

  1. Implementation and monitoring of the site's SHE policies.
  2. Ensure active participation of all staff at all levels in the safety participation programme.
  3. Conduct risk assessments and PHAs and action corrections.
  4. Coordination and management of all contractors and staff inductions.
  5. Participate with quality and productivity improvements via the development of new procedures and processes.
  6. Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses, formulating corrective and preventative measures to mitigate risk.
  7. Collaborate with regulatory bodies, clients, and contractors concerning all safety, health, environmental, and quality matters.

The ideal candidate must have previous experience working in a similar Health & Safety Manager/Specialist role, ideally coming from a manufacturing background.

A NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent is essential for this position. A Bachelor's Degree (in a relevant discipline) is preferred.

In return, you will receive a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, along with a company bonus program.
