Development Manager

We are seeking an experienced Outreach and Development Manager to join our team at Southwark Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the East Lodge Restoration Project in Nunhead Cemetery, a unique and ambitious project that aims to transform the cemetery into a vibrant community hub.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and delivering an Activity Plan and Volunteering Strategy for the project. This will involve close liaison with the Friends of Nunhead Cemetery (FONC) and Southwark Council, as well as key delivery partners from public, voluntary, and community organisations.
The restoration of the East Lodge is supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about heritage, ecology, and volunteering. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in parks, play, and leisure provision, and be able to champion the broad benefits that provide access to good quality open spaces and recreational facility offers to local communities.
