We connect people through fixed-line and wireless telecom infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and access to information for all. At United Living, we have one of the largest specialist in-house teams for project management, acquisition, design, construction, and maintenance in the UK.

Job Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a vital member of our team, working with your colleagues and clients to:

  • Support project delivery while achieving target margins
  • Produce monthly internal cost reporting positions
  • Ensure all necessary contractual processes have been observed, notices issued, records kept and documents stored
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, consultants, subcontractors and your colleagues across the Property Services pillar
  • Prepare and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts including all necessary measurement
  • Make sure any agreement of variations with the supply chain is documented and recorded

Requirements

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor with:

  • 4+ years experience working on frameworks for Main Contractors, preferably TPC contracts but not essential
  • RICS accredited degree
  • A sound track record in a commercial role for a main contractor, delivering projects through to successful profitable completion
  • Prior experience of working within a social housing environment and a good understanding of regeneration and refurbishment contracts
  • Commercial awareness, legal and contractual knowledge and experience, and sound data interrogation skills
