Quantity Surveyor Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Steve Ball Recruitment LTD. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success and quality delivery of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage costs and finances throughout various stages of construction projects
  • Ensure reported data is accurate and up-to-date
  • Assist with procurement and management of sub-contractors
  • Guarantee the financial success and quality delivery of construction projects through effective cost management, procurement, contract administration, risk management, and value engineering
  • Complete Reinstatement Cost Assessments
  • Compile budget cost and feasibility estimates
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working as a Quantity Surveyor / Employers Agent (client side)
  • Cost Control, Bill of Quantities, and Cost Management skills
  • Cost Planning and Cost Reporting skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent client management and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of building regulations and construction contracts
  • In-depth knowledge of contentious quantity surveying practices
  • Excellent time management and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Full UK driving licence and use of your own vehicle with business insurance
