Job Title: Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant

Accountable to: Laboratory Manager

Unilabs is a leading diagnostic services provider seeking a skilled Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a Senior Medical Laboratory Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of the specimen reception area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Process and handle specimens following standard operating procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of test results and data
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Assist in the training and supervision of other laboratory assistants
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance protocols
  • Participate in continuing education and stay updated on laboratory practices and procedures

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computer systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong commitment to patient care and confidentiality
