We are seeking a highly motivated Alternative Education Specialist to join our team at Norfolk County Council. This is an exciting opportunity to work with children and young people who require alternative education provision.

The role involves leading on an area of development for the service, conducting case work, and identifying offsite educational packages for primary, secondary, and students with SEND. You will collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance with statutory duties related to educational provision and pupil welfare.

This position requires relevant experience and qualifications, as well as knowledge and understanding of children's and pupils' needs. The successful candidate will have the tenacity and determination to drive positive outcomes for children and young people. Effective communication skills are essential for developing relationships and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading on an area of development for the service
  • Case work and identifying offsite educational packages for pupils
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure compliance with statutory duties

About the Role:

This is a 12-month temporary contract working 37 hours per week in Norwich with hybrid working opportunities. As an AES Officer, you will be responsible for discharging the Local Authority's duties under Section 19 of the Children's Act.
