Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Wabtec Corporation. As a senior member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of new turbochargers and associated products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new turbochargers and related machines, pushing current technology and developing new solutions for IC and other thermal machines.
  • Lead technical projects, involving R&D, product validation, testing, and associated development.
  • Interface with other business functions, including Commercial, Manufacturing, and Procurement.
  • Contribute to methods development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in high-speed rotating equipment engineering, ideally turbochargers.
  • Demonstrate engineering leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive assigned activities to completion in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate experience of working with non-engineering functions to deliver projects.
  • Demonstrate strong project management skills.
