Commercial Accounting Role

Location: Hybrid
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Car allowance of £6,600 and excellent benefits

Tate is seeking a skilled Commercial Accounting Specialist to join their client and take charge of the commercial aspects of their financial reporting. In this role, you will act as a business partner to the operational and management teams, ensuring the business runs efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Partnering: Collaborate with project management teams to support tender processes and provide insights to manufacturing teams on BOM and direct costs.
  2. Commercial Awareness: Work with sales managers to enhance commercial awareness and review recovery rates and departmental charging mechanisms.
  3. Performance Analysis: Assist in developing business performance data and analysis for Directors and Managers, and develop customer profitability analysis.
  4. Margin Improvement: Identify and communicate opportunities to increase margins and provide clear, accurate management information on commercial performance.
  5. Financial Modelling: Develop cashflow modelling for projects and key business activities, and assist in sales pipeline reporting.
  6. Reporting & Forecasting: Work alongside FPAM and CFO to improve the quality of analysis in monthly reporting and forecast preparation.
  7. Problem Solving: Proactively identify business issues that hinder financial projections and prepare ad hoc financial models and business cases.
  8. Travel: National and international travel as required.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: CIMA or ACCA qualified.
  2. Technical Skills: Strong intermediate Excel skills and experience with costing in a complex ERP environment, particularly SAP ERP.
  3. Experience: Proven experience in preparing management accounts, forecasts, and business analysis.
