About BioTalent

BioTalent is a pioneering biotech company dedicated to developing innovative ADCs for treating cancer. Our state-of-the-art labs serve as the hub for R&D, driving discoveries and advancements in antibody engineering, bioconjugation, and analytical sciences.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Scientist to join our growing R&D team focused on advancing the development of antibody-drug conjugates, leveraging cutting-edge analytical techniques and mass spectrometry.

  • Lead the expansion of routine antibody characterisation workflows, including stress studies, sequence liability assessments, and post-translational modification (PTM) and glycan analysis.
  • Collaborate with Bioconjugation and Downstream Manufacturing teams to develop analytical protocols for clinical candidate molecules, including drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR) determination.
  • Support Antibody Engineering in the development and characterisation of novel antibody and ADC formats.
  • Maintain detailed records of experiments and methodologies, ensuring clear communication and collaboration across teams.
  • Take a leading role in a cross-functional project team to develop preclinical ADC assets, gaining exposure to all stages of early drug discovery.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A BSc/MSc in Life Sciences or Chemistry with a strong background in Biochemistry.
  • Proven expertise in mass spectrometry (e.g., peptide mapping, DAR determination) with experience using tools such as MassHunter software and Agilent systems (preferred).
  • Proficiency in analytical techniques like LC-MS, HIC-HPLC, SEC, IEX, and RP-HPLC; experience with Chromeleon software and Vanquish UHPLC systems is advantageous.
  • A track record in developing and troubleshooting analytical methods for protein and conjugate characterisation.
  • Strong skills in data analysis, attention to detail, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Industry or biotech experience.
