Head of Building Control

Join our team as a Head of Building Control and take on a challenging role that requires expertise in building control and regulatory compliance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our clients' projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced and skilled individual to lead our building control team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in building control and regulatory compliance, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance and enforcement of building regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical input and advice on building control matters, including complex projects and high-rise buildings.
- Ensure consistent application of technical policies and processes, identifying non-compliance and technical risk.
- Coach and mentor less experienced building control surveyors.
- Work closely with the commercial team to assist with tendering and quoting for complex projects.
- Provide technical advice on peer reviews and escalated complaints.
- Support the interpretation and communication of regulatory updates.
- Ensure the highest quality and service standards are met.
- A comprehensive knowledge of building control through a wide range of industry experience.
- Previous experience as a RBI and a proven track record of ensuring compliance and enforcement of building regulations.
- Conversant with legislation and the Building Safety Regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communicator and people management skills at all levels.
- Strong commercial awareness.
