Job Title: Clinical Psychologist Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist Therapist to join our team at Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Psychologist Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychological assessments, therapy, and group interventions to individuals with mental health issues.

About the Role

This is a 12-month fixed-term/secondment opportunity working within our psychology-led service, which has been co-developed alongside people with lived experience of mental health services. You will be based in Blyth and will work with a variety of professionals, including GPs, primary care mental health workers, and reception staff, to provide specialist training and supervision.

Main Duties
  • Provide one-to-one assessments, therapy, and group interventions to individuals with mental health issues.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with service users and other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular supervision and provide ongoing continuing professional development opportunities.
Person Specification
  • Hold an Honours Degree in Psychology or a related field, recognized for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
  • Have post-graduate qualifications in psychological assessment and therapy, appropriate to the designated pathway.
  • Have experience in psychological therapy, including assessment, formulation, and interventions, drawing on evidence-based psychological models and knowledge.
  • Have experience of teaching, training, and/or supervision.
