Advanced Ophthalmic Nurse Specialist

Key Responsibilities- To act as a leader within a nursing team, providing high-quality ophthalmic nursing care and working collaboratively with colleagues from various disciplines.
- To maintain effective communication and prioritize workload to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
- To support and facilitate the development of staff nurses, student nurses, and other healthcare professionals to enhance their competence and skills.
- To participate in training and development programs, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and best practices in ophthalmic nursing.
- Registered Nurse status on Part 1, Part 2, or Part 12 of the NMC register.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong leadership abilities and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Proficiency in venepuncture, cannulation, and computer literacy is desirable.
