About the Role:

Morson Talent is seeking a skilled Caulker to join our client's team in the shipbuilding and marine industry. As a Caulker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our client's projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use steelwork drawings to plan and execute caulking tasks
  • Perform MMA tack welding and basic thermal cutting
  • Operate abrasive wheels and other equipment safely
  • Work with pumps and fairing aids to achieve smooth surfaces
  • Pass a trade test to demonstrate your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Time-served Caulker with trade papers and relevant experience
  • Understanding of SHE processes and policies
  • Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE)
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and 3 on 4 off patterns

Remuneration:

  • Locals: £23.28 PAYE (non-locals: £31.28 PAYE)
  • Standard rate: £19.40 PAYE (non-locals: £27.40 PAYE)

Security Clearance:

Successful candidates will be required to undergo security clearance and pass a trade test before starting on site.
