Job Role:

Mobile Plant Engineer

Interaction Recruitment is partnering with a well-established national plant hire firm to support the growth of their team. Our client, who has been established for over 50 years, is looking to onboard and train engineers from various backgrounds, including plant, HGV, automotive, or agricultural. They offer a comprehensive training scheme alongside internal progression routes.

The Package:

Competitive Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £30,000-£32,000, with the potential to earn up to £40,000-£50,000 in overtime. The company offers 22 days annual leave, increasing by one day for every year of service, as well as a laptop, company vehicle, and fuel card. The role also includes a salary sacrifice scheme for additional annual leave and a comprehensive training and development program.

The Requirements:

Essential Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the plant, automotive, HGV, or agricultural industry, with a strong understanding of hydraulics, mechanical, and electrical capabilities. Experience working on engines is advantageous, as is electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair, and service experience. A full UK driver's license is also required.

The Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to client sites to perform maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment. They will diagnose complex technical issues, conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and offer training and support to clients' staff on machinery operation and maintenance best practices. Effective communication with the in-house engineering team is also essential.
