Job Title: Industrial Validation Engineer - Procurement & Supply Chain

A prominent UK Ministry of Defence affiliate, a leader in missile and defence, is seeking an experienced Industrial Validation Engineer to join their dynamic team. As part of this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the validation of the external supply chain, ensuring timely part delivery crucial for development programmes and full-rate production readiness.

About the Role:

This key position requires a qualified manufacturing engineer with a robust background in manufacturing processes and techniques, along with demonstrated ability in project delivery and management. Previous experience in aerospace or defence sectors, especially in manufacturing or supplier quality, is highly advantageous.

The role involves assisting suppliers and clients in developing resilient manufacturing systems and control plans to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality products on schedule and within budget. Key responsibilities include assessing supplier capabilities, conducting process FMEAs, and preparing for serious production. The position requires identifying and mitigating manufacturing and supply chain risks, implementing improvement plans, and managing manufacturing capability transfers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, quality management, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analyses
  • Excellent communication abilities and collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency in industrial validation tools such as process FMEAs, measurement system analysis, process mapping, and production readiness reviews

What You'll Get:
