Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Validation Specialist to join our team at Line Up Aviation. As an Industrial Validation Specialist, you will be responsible for validating the external supply chain to ensure successful delivery of parts required to support Development programmes in preparation for full rate Production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of suppliers on a day-to-day basis and develop the project Industrial Validation Plan.
  • Assess and validate the supply chain and suppliers' capability to meet requirements.
  • Undertake Industrial Validation activities such as Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production.
  • Identify and mitigate potential manufacturing and supply chain risks and implement associated improvement and mitigation plans.
  • Manage and validate elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in-house to supplier.
  • Collaborate and support a multi-functional team.

Requirements

  • A Manufacturing Engineering biased professional with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques, with an appreciation for project delivery/project management.
  • Experience of manufacturing or supplier quality in the Aerospace or Defence environments is desirable.
  • Capable of supporting suppliers/customers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans, to enable the capability to deliver on-quality, on-time, and on-cost in series production.
  • Ideally, the applicant will have New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or manufacturing capability transfer experience.
  • Proficient in Industrial Validation tools such as Process FMEAs, Measurement System Analysis, Process Mapping, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to develop and implement root cause analysis and improvement plans within Supply Chain for manufacturing system deviations.
  • Excellent communication skills, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality organisations.
