The Procurement Officer Role
The Procurement Officer will provide tactical and strategic procurement support to NHS Lanarkshire to achieve best value for the organisation's third-party non-routine expenditure.
The role involves ensuring an efficient and effective purchase to pay process within the wider 'source to settle' process, adhering to Procurement Regulations, Standing Financial Instructions, and local procurement policies and processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply intermediate-level theoretical knowledge to determine the most appropriate route to market for user requirements.
- Utilise knowledge of applicable procurement regulations to ensure compliant procurement practices.
- Manage data using Microsoft Excel and provide analytical support.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide presentation support.
Requirements
- HND or degree in a relevant discipline or CIPS Advanced Diploma (Level 5) or CIPS Professional Diploma (Level 6)
- Experience in public sector procurement activity, including competitive quotations and regulated procurements.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations.
- Excellent analytical skills, including advanced Excel and Business Objects.
Contract Type and Working Pattern
Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week, with remote and hybrid working options available.
