Teaching Business Studies at The City of Liverpool College

We are seeking a skilled and passionate educator to teach Business Studies to Access to Higher Education students. This role requires someone who can engage students and deliver high-quality lessons, monitoring each student's academic performance and providing feedback for improvements.

The successful candidate will join an established team of lecturers who have many years' experience in providing a successful Access to Higher Education provision to our students. Our college has built strong links with local, regional, and national Higher Education Institutions, and our students benefit from this collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Monitor students' progress, provide regular feedback, and support them in achieving their academic goals.
  • Liaise with the Head of School to contribute to curriculum design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for professional development and contribute to staff training and development.
  • Engage with prospective students at open events and provide information about our programs.
Requirements:
  • Education to Level 4 (e.g., Degree or equivalent) in Business or a related field.
  • Successful recent teaching experience in Business Studies or a related area.
  • Excellent computer literacy and ability to use current IT programs.
  • Proven experience in curriculum planning, development, and delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to set high standards for students, colleagues, and oneself.
Benefits:
  • An estimated salary range of £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Generous annual leave: 50 days, plus bank holidays and extra days for closures.
