Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Traffic Operations Trainee to join our team at Maritime Transport. As a Traffic Operations Trainee, you will be responsible for supporting our Transport Operators/Planners with day-to-day operations.

About the Role:

• Booking containers in and out of the container yard, maintaining a high level of customer service and communication.
• Ensuring accurate and timely entry of release/acceptance information into the system.
• Auditing release/acceptances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Recording container numbers correctly in and out of the system.
• Utilizing CCTV for recording purposes when booking in/out.
• Seeking additional work opportunities from current customers and management.
• Communicating effectively with customers, understanding their requirements, and providing accurate information in a timely manner.
• Working collaboratively with a team to achieve common goals.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, including workstations and environments.
• Ensuring health and safety standards are met and reporting observations and concerns.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a transport or similar environment (preferred but not essential).
• Competent IT skills.
• Clear and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Highly personable and able to work well in a team.
• Great attention to detail.
