We are seeking a skilled Physiotherapist to join our team as a Disability Assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to assess individuals with disabilities and health conditions, providing detailed reports to help determine their eligibility for benefits.

As a Physiotherapist Disability Assessor at Maximus, you will work on complex cases involving chronic pain disorders, neurological, physical, and mental health conditions. You will conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments, gathering information about an individual's disability or health condition and its impact on their daily life.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) process and be able to produce high-quality reports that meet strict deadlines. You will also receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from our experienced team.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Produce detailed reports to help the DWP determine an individual's eligibility for benefits
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision

**Requirements:**

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of broad post-registration experience gained within or outside of the NHS
  • You MUST have the right to work in the UK
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
