About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team as a Band 6/7 Nurse. As a key member of the multidisciplinary workforce, you will be responsible for leading the nursing team in the delivery of expert patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and professionally lead the nursing team to ensure high standards of patient care.
  2. Deliver, co-ordinate and supervise patient care, ensuring assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care is of a high standard.
  3. Contribute to the entire Critical Care Service, in terms of patient care, team support, quality improvement and service delivery and progression.
  4. Work within both units on a planned rotational and day-to-day basis to manage fluctuating patient and service demands.
  5. Work alongside the Matron, Band 7s and wider team to determine and deliver on service strategic objectives.
  6. Collaborate with the critical care inter-professional team to meet the needs of critically ill patients and their families.
  7. Demonstrate clinical expertise, role modelling high standards of care, evidence-based practice and effective leadership within UK law, NMC and Trust policies and guidelines.
