About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team as a Band 6/7 Nurse. As a key member of the multidisciplinary workforce, you will be responsible for leading the nursing team in the delivery of expert patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and professionally lead the nursing team to ensure high standards of patient care.
  2. Deliver, coordinate, and supervise patient care, ensuring assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care meet the Trust's vision of 'best care for everyone.'
  3. Contribute to the entire Critical Care Service, ensuring safe staffing levels, patient care, team support, quality improvement, and service delivery.
  4. Work collaboratively with the Matron, Band 7s, consultants, and wider team to determine and deliver on service strategic objectives.
  5. Lead the nursing team in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care within the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant field.
  • Intensive Care nursing course.
  • Evidence of on-going professional development.
  • Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
