About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lifting Engineer - Appointed Person to join our team at Hinkley Point C, working on the prestigious nuclear project. As a key member of the MEH Alliance, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient lifting of heavy loads.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate lifting activities, ensuring compliance with NNB Management of Lifting Operations Standard
  • Develop and implement processes and procedures for effective control of MEHA lifting activities
  • Select and inspect lifting equipment, including accessories, to ensure safe operation
  • Brief and supervise lifting/rigging teams to ensure safe systems of work
  • Investigate and mitigate hazards in the operating area

Requirements

  • Proven experience in lifting planning and coordination, preferably in a nuclear or heavy industry setting
  • AutoCAD proficiency and experience with lift planning software
  • CPCS A61 Appointed Person (Blue Card) and/or ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads certification
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
