About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lifting Engineer - Appointed Person to join our team at Hinkley Point C, working on the prestigious nuclear project. As a key member of the MEH Alliance, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating lifting activities, ensuring the safe and efficient execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate lifting activities, including the selection of lifting accessories and the development of lift plans in accordance with NNB Management of Lifting Operations Standard.
  • Investigate all hazards within the operating area and ensure that the safe system of work is understood by all lifting/rigging supervision.
  • Manage a small team of Lifting Engineers and ensure that all lifting activities are prioritized and executed efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures to effectively control MEHA lifting activities.

Requirements

  • CPCS A61 Appointed Person (Blue Card) and ECITB Appointed Person Moving Loads and TAP01 (preferred).
  • NVQ Level 3 Steel Erecting/Moving Loads and IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Proven track record in nuclear power and experience working on major construction projects.
  • Experience working within Joint Ventures and delivering and operating as a Team Lead.
