Export Coordinator

Brightwork Limited is seeking a skilled Export Coordinator to join their team in Aberdeen. As an integral part of the Export team, you will be responsible for coordinating shipments from start to finish, ensuring clients receive excellent customer service throughout their enquiry.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the onboarding of new clients to ensure a smooth transition to the company's service
- Developing core client relationships to achieve set team goals
- Working closely with the Sales team to maintain existing client relationships
- Attending regular client meetings
- Accurately entering consignment and client information into the system
- Booking shipments with carriers, including airlines, shipping lines, and road transport companies
- Processing all shipping documentation, including MAWB, HAWB, Bill of lading, CMR, and Standard shipping note
- Processing customs declarations through ASM software in accordance with instructions and HMRC compliance
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of HM Revenue & Customs regulations
- Adhering to destination-specific documentation requirements
- Ensuring all monthly KPIs are met and billing requirements are achieved in a timely manner
- Providing competitive quotations to customers and overseas offices, ensuring intelligent buying is always sought
- Resolving day-to-day issues with clients and vendors, including issuing NCRs
- Working closely with the Export Manager and Regional Compliance Manager to ensure compliance with the latest trade sanctions
- Ensuring Dangerous Goods procedures are followed within the department for successful export in accordance with current regulations
- Providing advice to clients on all aspects of importing and exporting cargoes
- Following client Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Requirements:
- Good organisational skills
- High level of accuracy in checking and processing information
- Ability to form good relationships with clients, colleagues, and vendors
- Experience in freight forwarding/logistics background
- Experience in handling Dangerous Goods
- Comprehensive understanding of Export Regimes and Customs Tariff
- Familiarity with Lloyds Loading List, OAG Flight Guide, and Croner's Export Guide
- Excellent Microsoft skills, particularly in Excel
- Good oral and communication skills
- Ability to react to operational demands, organise time effectively, and prioritise tasks to cope with fluctuating workloads
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Competent in the use of CDS
