We are seeking a highly skilled Design Delivery Specialist to join our team at Hinkley Point C, Somerset, as part of our Roads and Networks (RAN) project. As a key member of our Pre-Construction and Delivery teams, you will be responsible for coordinating the design requirements for permanent assets within the RAN scope of works.

As a Design Delivery Specialist, you will work in a highly regulated environment, and occasional home working may be possible. Your Key Responsibilities

As a Design Delivery Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with designers and other team members to ensure effective design delivery
  • Managing project documentation and coordinating design delivery
  • Treating health, safety, sustainability, cost, time, constructability, and quality as primary drivers of approach
  • Summarizing information for effective communication with the project team
  • Contributing to written submission material and attending pre-construction meetings
  • Coordinating design and engineering with key stakeholders and project team
  • Providing engineering expertise and advice to add value to the design development process
  • Keeping project management informed of activities and progress
  • Assisting in developing and monitoring design programmes
  • Contributing to design and project risk registers
  • Preparing material and submission documents to support planned engineered solutions and construction methods

We are looking for a highly skilled and organized individual with:

  • High-level IT skills, including Microsoft 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in highly regulated environments
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications
