The Role
We are seeking a skilled Production Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in identifying and solving problems to help us achieve world-class manufacturing. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Following problem-solving processes to establish the root cause of equipment failures and implementing permanent fixes.
- Planning and executing asset care tasks to maintain and improve equipment reliability.
- Cross-functional working with other Graze functions and engineering teams to develop opportunities that improve Quality, OEE, and costs.
- Working to the highest safety standards at all times, identifying hazards, and conducting deep compliance audits and safety behavioral observations.
- Staying up-to-date with advancements in engineering and production and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Fully conversant in Health & Safety requirements within engineering, including Risk Assessment, PUWER, COSHH, LOLER, and SSOW.
- Proven experience in an engineering department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with continuous improvement techniques, such as RCA, 5WHY, 5S, DMAIC, and operator-led maintenance.
- Formal engineering qualifications, either through a recognized apprenticeship or degree.
- Experience working in a food or pharmaceutical industry and a good understanding of GMP, HACCP, and BRC auditing.
- Experience in fault-finding and repair of electrical and pneumatic circuits and components.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to communicate effectively with engineering, production, and quality teams.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis to eliminate equipment problems.
- Flexible and adaptable attitude to teamwork and process changes.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software.
