Pharmaceutical Product Specialist

About the Role
The Uniphar Group is seeking a highly skilled Pharmaceutical Product Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the creation and maintenance of pharmaceutical items, ensuring compliance with MHRA regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation of new pharmaceutical products in compliance with MHRA regulations and guidelines.
- Stay updated on changes to pharmaceutical regulations and adapt practices accordingly.
- Gain a thorough understanding of various types of pharmaceutical products, including their characteristics and requirements.
- Classify products according to UK WDA (Wholesale Distribution Authorisation) categories.
- Understand the importance of supplier and manufacturer details.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or a related field; Master's degree or higher qualification is a plus.
- Excellent PC skills, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint etc.
- Medicines knowledge, previous experience in a retail or hospital setting a distinct advantage.
- Extremely competent with Microsoft Excel - formulas & macro's etc.
- Knowledge of ERPs and other IT systems.
- Good planning & organising skills with good time management.
- Strong analytical skills with proven problem-solving ability in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Proficiency in commodity codes and their application to pharmaceutical products.
- Knowledge of various types of pharmaceutical products and their storage conditions.
- Ability to work on their own initiative and equally as part of a team.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacist, with a focus on regulatory compliance and product management.
- Proven experience with MHRA regulations and pharmaceutical product management.
