Job Summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team. As a Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of surfacing projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and collaborating with the Contracts Manager to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety Management
    • Implement and promote the company's health and safety policy
    • Conduct regular site inspections and safety tours
    • Monitor and report on health and safety performance
  • Project Coordination
    • Develop and maintain project schedules and timelines
    • Coordinate with the Contracts Manager to ensure project delivery
    • Monitor and report on project progress
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and manage site staff
    • Provide guidance and training to site staff
    • Ensure site staff are aware of and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Quality Control
    • Ensure all work is carried out to the required quality standards
    • Identify and report on any quality issues
    • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to resolve quality issues
  • Cost Control
    • Monitor and report on project costs
    • Identify and report on any cost-saving opportunities
    • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to optimize project costs
  • Communication
    • Communicate effectively with site staff, Contracts Manager, and other stakeholders
    • Provide regular project updates to stakeholders
    • Collaborate with the Contracts Manager to ensure effective communication
Requirements
  • Qualifications
    • NVQ level 3/4 construction supervision (desirable)
    • Surfacing and highways experience
  • Skills
    • CSCS, SMSTS, NRSWA
    • Site measurement experience
    • Understanding of CDM regulations and relevant standards and specifications
    • Experience of dealing with commercial elements, capturing costs and potential value streams
    • Good understanding of operational procedures
    • Ability to understand and interpret project schedules and timelines
  • Experience
    • Previous experience in a similar role within highways or surfacing
    • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
