We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef De Partie to join our team at Chefs Bay Hospitality. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes to meet the demands of our busy restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, using fresh ingredients and adhering to our menu specifications.
- Organize and prep ahead for future services, ensuring that all necessary ingredients and equipment are available.
- Supervise junior staff to ensure quality and correct portions, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with head/sous chef on daily orders, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Maintain full knowledge of menu items, recipes, and presentation standards, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards.
- Ensure personal hygiene, safety, and proper equipment use, adhering to our health and safety policies.
- Meet deadlines and help others achieve standards, working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Monitor food expiry dates and storage, ensuring that all food is stored and handled safely.
- Support stock management and monthly stock takes, ensuring that all inventory is accurately recorded and managed.
- Manage junior chefs and kitchen assistants when sous chef is absent, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
- Batch cook to reduce waste and ensure proper food labelling, adhering to our food safety policies.
- Implement first-in, first-out food rotation and quality checks, ensuring that all food is stored and handled safely.
- Clean section, fridges, and kitchen areas regularly, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Consult with head/sous chef on daily requirements and events, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards.
- Set an example in hygiene and cleanliness, adhering to our health and safety policies.
- Be flexible and proactive in assisting where needed, working efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, completing HACCP and COSHH monitoring, ensuring that all food is stored and handled safely.
- Promote healthy eating and offer educational advice to customers, providing excellent customer service.
