Facade Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled Façade Designer to join our team at Galliford Try. As a Façade Designer, you will be responsible for managing the Façade design process, ensuring that all designs meet commercial, contractual, and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the Façade design process, ensuring that all designs meet commercial, contractual, and technical requirements.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of building envelope systems, including cavity barriers, glazing, curtain walling, rainscreen systems, composite cladding systems, render, steel frame systems, flashings and bracketry, windows and doors, AOVs and louvres.
- Produce D construction drawings, procurement schedules, and fabrication drawings.
- Produce Revit models across projects, using linked models and producing D drawings directly from the model.
- Request engineering calculations from engineers and ensure that all drawings have been approved by the client.
- Track and monitor design variations, raising changes with the commercial department.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered in accordance with ERs, CPs, and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant parties to raise and resolve project-related issues that could affect the delivery of documentation.
- Review and evaluate design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance, liaising with the client's design team and specialist suppliers.
- Hold a degree or diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Structural Engineering, or Building Design (Architectural).
- Have knowledge of steel, aluminium, and glass, with proven experience.
- Have knowledge of CWCT, Building Regulations, BSR, etc.
- Be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD.
- Have the ability to work safely and communicate effectively with a range of people.
- Be an analytical problem solver, client-focused, and able to make informed decisions.
- Have the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Have effective leadership skills.
