Façade Designer – Oak

Uxbridge

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Façade Designer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Oak Business.

Ideally, you will based in or around the Uxbridge area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.

Managing the Façade design process using there commercial, contractual, programme/time awareness and technical expertise. The candidate must have experience with the following systems: Cavity Barriers Glazing Curtain Walling Rainscrnen Systems Composite Cladding Systems Render Steel Frame Systems Flashings and Bracketry Windows and Doors AOV’s and Louvres Production of D construction drawings. Production of procurement schedules & fabrication drawings. Production of Revit models across projects using linked models & producing D drawings directly from the model. Production of technical submittals. Requesting engineering calculations from our engineers. Ensure contract information is followed scope, specification intent drawings. Track & monitor design variations raising changes with the commercial department. Ensure all drawings have been approved by the client. Ensure all projects are delivered in accordance with ERs, CP’s & Statutory requirements and all parties are aware of their obligations under statute.  Coordinate with the relevant parties to raise/resolve project related issues which could affect the delivery of documentation. Review and evaluate design deliverables to ensure buildability and compliance, liaising with the client's design team and specialist suppliers.

About You:

Degree or diploma holder in Mechanical / Civil / Structural Engineering or Building Design (Architectural) Knowledge of steel, aluminium and glass required with proven experience. Knowledge of CWCT, Building Regulations, BSR etc. Office expertise. Revit/AutoCAD Ability to work safely. Ability to communicate with a range of people both verbally and in writing. Analytical problem solver. Client and customer focused in order to build productive relationships. Ability to make reasoned and informed judgements and decisions. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Effective leadership skills
