Education Professionals for Special Schools

We are seeking a dedicated teacher to join our team at a large and successful special school in Huyton, educating over 170 students aged 11-19 with Autism and associated learning differences. The ideal candidate will have the ability to cover various subjects and life skills, understanding social & emotional mental health, and managing behaviours & emotions.
Key Responsibilities- Support students with their socio-emotional engagement with learning and promote independence in a safe environment.
- Collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
- Promote the inclusion of all students, providing equal opportunities for contribution to school life.
- Create a supportive working environment that makes students feel happy and secure.
- Implement positive behaviour approaches set out by the school.
A strong understanding of behaviour as communication, attachment theory, SEMH needs in the classroom, and nurture provision is essential for this role.
This position offers excellent career prospects and professional development opportunities for the right individual.
The estimated annual salary for this role is £30,000 - £45,000, depending on experience, based on a 195-day contract.
