About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Homerton University Hospital. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate holistic nursing care for critically ill patients.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Monitor and manage patient's condition, identifying and responding to changes in their status.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • NMC registered nurse with postgraduate Critical Care course.
  • Substantive ITU experience with a strong understanding of the complex needs of ITU patients.
  • Ability to supervise and support junior colleagues, work as part of a team, and problem-solve and initiate change in patient management.
