About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TechOps Generalist to join our team at Octopus Energy. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a critical role in defining and implementing our technical operations strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional technical support to our employees, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to succeed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with our Security team to ensure the highest level of security and user experience.
  • Design and implement automation solutions to improve our processes and user experience.
  • Develop and maintain our office networks, including Cisco Meraki infrastructure.
  • Manage supplier relationships and procurement processes for SaaS and hardware.
  • Lead and manage complex technical projects, working with multiple stakeholders across the business.
Requirements
  • Experience leading technical projects across various technologies and platforms.
  • Proficiency in scripting, APIs, and automating repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Experience working with multiple teams and managing stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Identity & Access Management systems, Single Sign-On technologies, and identity provisioning.
  • Conscientious approach to work and passion for doing the right thing.
