Innovative Inventory Management Role at SJR Partners
SJRP is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to join our team in Newport. As an integral part of our Engineering department, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service levels while optimizing inventory costs.
About the Job
This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to take ownership of our Engineering stores. We are implementing a new CMMS system (Mainsaver) and rolling out 5's standards in workshop, making this a great time to join us. As an Inventory Management Specialist, your primary focus will be on implementing and coordinating best practice inventory management systems and processes to ensure spares are obtained at the most cost-effective price.
Main Responsibilities
* Develop and implement effective spare parts and refurbishment management strategies* Track and report stores performance through CMMS, including stock accuracy and turnover* Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock counts* Optimize Engineering stock spares holding in line with inventory management and criticality analysis* Monitor and recommend minimum and maximum order points* Act as a key system user responsible for materials, Material group codes, and new suppliers* Identify opportunities to deliver most cost-effective and efficient spare parts/inventory solutions* Liaise with Engineering projects to capture and cater for incoming parts requirements to ensure availability* Responsible for scheduling daily/weekly/monthly maintenance plans* Work effectively with the team to achieve business objectives
