STAFFING LAB LIMITED is seeking an experienced Inventory Management Lead to join their team. This exciting opportunity involves overseeing the engineering stores function, implementing best practice inventory management systems and processes, and leading the rollout of 5S standards within a collaborative and innovative environment.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for managing spare parts inventory, including refurbishment management, COSHH compliance, and stock optimization through criticality analysis.
  • They will conduct regular cycle counts and full stock counts to ensure stock accuracy and turnover reporting through the CMMS system (Mainsaver/Spidex).
  • This role requires establishing and maintaining engineering materials and spares within the company CMMS, ensuring accurate descriptions and setting minimum/maximum order points.
  • The Inventory Management Lead will actively seek and deliver cost-effective and efficient inventory solutions.
  • They will lead 5S initiatives within the engineering stores, maintaining visual management processes and standards.
  • Developing and monitoring supplier performance to ensure timely and accurate deliveries is also a key responsibility.
  • The successful candidate will collaborate with engineering projects to anticipate and fulfill incoming parts requirements.
  • Scheduling daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance plans, ensuring alignment with materials availability and lead times, is essential.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve maintenance cost-effectiveness and managing obsolete stock are also key responsibilities.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards for self and others within the stores environment is paramount.

Requirements:

  • A proven track record in inventory management and engineering stores operations is essential.
  • Proficiency in CMMS systems, preferably Mainsaver or Spidex, is required.
  • A strong understanding of 5S standards, refurbishment processes, and COSHH compliance is necessary.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
  • The ability to analyze and improve supplier delivery performance is crucial.
  • Competence in scheduling maintenance activities and aligning material needs with operational plans is required.
  • A strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively are essential.
  • A commitment to maintaining health and safety standards is paramount.
