Job Title: Senior Consultant (Healthcare)

Bureau Veritas Switzerland AG is seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant (Healthcare) to join our team. As a key member of our ATEX services team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our department and driving sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic direction for the ATEX services team, working closely with the Strategic Technical Director.
  • Manage and develop existing key ATEX accounts, delivering technical excellence and winning additional work.
  • Drive new business for ATEX services, develop client relationships, create proposals and tender submissions.
  • Deliver high standards of impartial inspection, testing, and consultative services.
  • Ensure administrative control of projects to safeguard financial control.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop junior team members as required.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in standards and legislation affecting the ATEX discipline and support change as needed.
  • Provide engineering technical input into external trade associations, technical committees, and statutory bodies.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the ATEX field of expertise.
  • Promote Bureau Veritas and our unique selling points within the marketplace and contribute to thought leadership via our marketing department and PR partners.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of project delivery, developing client solutions, and delivering subject matter expertise in the ATEX discipline.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of ATEX and BS EN 60079 series of Standards.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of safety rules and associated codes of practice for relevant industries and products.
  • Excellent commercial acumen: ability to seek out solutions to client problems and opportunities to sell services.
  • Good knowledge of market, industry trends, developments, and changes in legislation.
  • Development of client relationships and winning of new work with clients.
  • Contribution to business development and creation of tender submissions.
  • Skilled at communicating at all levels of an organization both formally and informally.
  • Ability to write detailed technical reports and use simple language when corresponding with non-technical colleagues and clients.
  • Adept at developing sustainable relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Preparing proposals and presenting solutions and outcomes to clients.
  • Negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Managing resources and sub-contractors.
  • Understanding of technical documentation such as specifications, drawings, and manufacturers' literature.
  • Ability to deliver technical project management.
  • Ability to develop, coach, and mentor junior staff.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant Higher National Certificate (HNC) or National Vocational Qualification (NVQ).
  • Minimum of Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or working towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) with relevant institute e.g. Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET).
